River Bain Project

This project took a straightened section of chalk stream in the Lincolnshire Wolds and created a natural by pass channel to improve natural habitat, biodiversity and connectivity. The project was funded by the  Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project  (LCSP) partnership. Ruth Craig of LSCP managed the project, with advice and support from Tim Jacklin of the Wild Trout Trust. The channel was designed by fluvial geomorphologist Professor Richard Hey and the project was made possible by the ongoing support of landowner and WTT member Richard Osmond.
